I give you recommended place to be spent!
This day, I with doi 'cycling'
around Surabaya. This day the plan is I want to buy a new phone so I go to WTC.
After this hard day, we have already visited some places but I decide to
postpone it because I don’t have much money anymore haha (I think I must saving
my money with a vengeance). After that, we decide to spend the night with
eating noodle in Warunk Upnormal (actually only me who eat noodle, because he
don’t like it so much).
So far, the place and the
atmosphere here so comfortable and lil freezing because this day the rain come
hard enough. We can see people talking, laughing and playing some games that
provides by Warunk Upnormal. Entering the cafe, waiters would welcoming you so
nice. They would greet you and ask how many people will eat there and where
will you choose, outdoor or indoor or Private Room if you have booked that room, and yes this Café have a private room that
can be fill up by 20 people I guess. Then, the waiters will choose the table as
you need to. On the table already provided books menu and the waiters would
give you order paper and pencil. I think that is their way to press cost making
order paper (a little bit confusing because when the menus isn’t available,
they would cross it. But sometimes they forget to erase the sign when the menu
is available to order, so I have to ask the waiters are that menus available or
not).
Looking the book menu, much interest because the picture of foods are so delicious. Even if this café has a brand which is serving noodle, but the café also gives you rice menu. This place have a lot food and beverages, the food is originally Indonesian taste and a little bit fusion with modern touch like Nasi Ayam Geprek with a few topping that you can choose, Nasi Kambing Muda with Sambel Ijo (haha look like I’m pretty nice for the MasterChef Judge). And ya they have a lot of snack that you can eat with your friends or the Special One:)
What I choose is Indomie Goreng
Sambal Matah + Telor and Ice Jeruk Upnormal also French fries and Nasi Ayam
Telor Asin + Soda Anggur for him. Write your order in order paper then stand in
line in front of cashier. The cashier would read your order as confirmation
then pay your order using cash, debit or credit card. FYI, you can only pay
using debit card with minimum payment Rp 50.000 and using credit card with
minimum payment Rp 100.000.
Last but not least, the most
important info is... you can read the WiFi
password information in front of cashier. And you know what more fun? The
Socket for your phone or laptop charger is available and they have so much
Socket, everywhere you sit, you will find socket under your table or chair.

Indoor cafe would be presented as letter L shape. While entering the cafe, you will see the tables and cashier, also tables in a corridor. Some tables provides electric socket, so choose your right table when you have to charge your laptop or phone. Is the fun just end? No I guess because they have a lot of board game like dakon, snake and ladders, and uno blocks. You can play that while you are waiting for your food.
Outdoor side is provided as smoking area too. There are 2 sides, terrace side and outdoor umbrella table side. Besides outdoor umbrella table, you will see private room which you can serve for your special event.
Indomie Goreng Sambal Marah + Telor… isn’t representing the taste of Indomie. A little bit plain for someone who like “micin” :) . For the sambal matah, the taste is just like another sambal matah. So so. For the drink, I love it!❤ Nasi Ayam Saus Telor Asin, the sauce should be more smooth, then it could be very nice. For the French fries, it has a good taste😍
For those menus, the price is so
so. For the food, I spent Rp 51.000 and the beverages spent Rp 16.000. That
price above not including value added tax. Conclusion is food price here is
about 10k – 40k and the beverages is about 5k – 20k, so bring more cash because
the price is worth for the place like this! And don’t ever think that this cafe
would be so yawnful, because everyone are having fun there really!
And I am sorry, I forgot to take picture for the toilet. But I think the toilet was clean enough and not smelly, o ya the toilet is next to private room which is you have to go out to the outdoor area first.
And the last the park area is not
so big enough, for car can filled up to 5 or 6 cars, and what happen if the car
is just blow up? Yap the car driver must park beside the Jalan Dharmahusada:(
For motorcycle, it can be fill up to 30 or more.
So come here if you have time to
waste with your special person without losing a lot of money! Ciao!
